Mother of the Accused by Leanne Treese

Who loves a page-turning family drama here!?⁣

This one opens with a bang… literally. And has you scrambling to reach the end to find out what that bang brings.⁣

It opens in courtroom, where a verdict is about to be announced, but something interrupts the trial. Meredith’s 18-year-old son Zach has been accused of sexual assault and it has been a life-altering few months for the family and all those involved.⁣

“This book is like a scary movie — you’re afraid for what’s about to happen, but you can’t look away.”

— Sheila Athens, The Truth About Love

The story is perfectly paced and incredibly crafted – you can feel the emotional devastation and fear Meredith feels throughout the ordeal, as she prepares to face a future of her only child in prison.⁣

All evidence points to a guilty verdict, but with the comfort of an old friend, determination and hope pours through onto the pages, proving that power of a mother’s love may just be what ends a mother’s worst nightmare.⁣

Another captivating story by @leannetreese with a beautifully complex and intense plot that is a superbly thought-provoking and engrossing read!⁣
